You should be under 23 years of age on the application deadline. You should be a high school senior or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program of study. You must be attending your classes full time, with a minimum of 12 credit hours, if you are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

The Kikkoman Foods, Inc. Scholarship is awarded to one winner each year, with a non-renewable prize of $1,000. Applications must be completed and submitted by February 1st at 5pm EST. Applicants must also submit a signature page, available for download from the website. This signature page must be filled out by the applicant’s advisors and submitted by February 8th. Within the application itself, students should include their school information, the contact information for their school principal and for their FFA advisor, financial information (if providing), class rank, grade point average, ACT or SAT score; and member or customer ID if they are associated with Accelerated Genetics or Ag Coop.

The application also includes an essay portion. In this portion, students must submit two short essays, with a 1,000 character minimum, per essay. One essay should address the student’s personal goals. The other should be an argument explaining why the applicant deserves the scholarship.

In addition to the Kikkoman FFA Scholarship, students may apply to any of the other scholarship programs offered by FFA. By submitting a single application through the online portal, applicants will automatically be considered for all of the awards for which they are eligible. Bear in mind that the online application is best viewed through the Internet Explorer browser, ideally version 6.0 or above.
