Healthcare Scholarship: Nursing Economics Foundation

The Nursing Economics scholarship is unusual, in that, you must already be a registered nurse, pursuing an advanced nursing administration degree.

Scholarship Overview

Nursing Economics, a journal for health care leaders, annually announces its Nursing Economics Foundation Scholarships. These scholarships, unlike other nursing scholarships, are available solely to nurses like you, who have already earned their R.N., and who are pursuing their masters or doctoral nursing degrees. In addition, if you apply for this scholarship, you must plan to work in nursing management or administration.

Scholarship Requirements

This scholarship requires you to be enrolled in a university or college with an accredited Masters or Doctoral nursing program, from which you will receive your advanced degree.

•To meet one eligibility requirement for this scholarship, you must plan to move into a management or administrative nursing position upon your graduation.
•You have to continue your nursing career, with a stated interest in leadership, education or management.
•You have to be a U.S. citizen with your R.N.
•To be eligible, you should not have been awarded a previous Nursing Economics Foundation Scholarship while you were enrolled in your current nursing degree program.
•You’ll have to give the Nursing Economics Foundation and journal the right to publish your bio and picture, if you are awarded a scholarship.

•You are eligible even if you have won other grants or scholarships. You’re able to “stack” this scholarship on top of others you may receive.
•You’ll be required to agree that, if you win the Nursing Economics Scholarship, you’ll use the funds only to pay your tuition, books and school-related fees applied by your nursing program. Room, board, health insurance, social expenses and athletic fees may not be paid for with this scholarship.
